How I fell in love
with telling stories

I grew up in Hyderabad watching my mother carefully preserve old family photographs in an album she kept under her bed. As a child, I used to sneak it out and spend hours looking at faces — some familiar, some not. Those photographs were the only way I could meet my grandparents, understand my parents as young people, and feel connected to a time before me. That album taught me what photography really is.

I picked up my first camera in 2014. I was not trained — I was just obsessed. I started shooting street scenes in the Old City, then friends' events, then small functions. Every shoot taught me something new about light, about timing, about the difference between a photograph and a memory.

My first wedding assignment terrified me. But the moment I captured the groom seeing his bride for the first time — the way his face changed — I knew this was exactly what I was meant to do. That was twelve years ago. Since then I have documented over 500 weddings across Hyderabad, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and beyond.

Today, storiesbyrajini is a small but deeply committed team. I personally lead every shoot. I arrive early, I study the venue, I learn your family's faces, and I position myself so that when the moment comes — I am already there.
